Spring Break So Far

It's been a lazy one. Except for Sunday, I haven't gotten out of my bed before 1pm. Sad I know. I'm just trying to catch up on sleep that I didn't get during finals week. ;)

I really haven't done much. I suppose that could be cause I was sleeping... I had a lovely dinner with Tommy and Morgan on Thursday evening at Agua Verde in Seattle. Then Tommy and I headed up to Bellingham. He informed me what Fair Trade was and it is very interesting to me. Then the next day I got this email from the Mustard Seed Associates talking about Fair Trade. I signed up to be on their email list a couple weeks ago but thought it was odd that I had never heard much about this subject and then all at once was being bombarded with information. It may be that most people know what this is and I just pay no attention to what is going on around me in the world. But anyway, what are people's thoughts on fair trade? Or if you don't know much about it, tell me and I will post some of the info that I got.

Let's see, what else have I done? I've been hanging out in Bellingham with friends from church. We've eaten lost of good home-made food together. Monday I went to Seattle to go to my Perspectives class. It was good, as always, and then I spent the night at my apatment, got up at 2pm, ate ice cream for breakfast, and then went shopping in my friend Annie's closet. She always give me great deals, so I ended up with 2 tank tops and 3 shirts all for the bargain price of $10. Thanks Annie. Then I had an awesome dinner at the Gleason's. Zac is a good cook.

Now I am back in B'ham and am heading out of the country tomorrow afternoon. Amy's parents offered to pay for a hotel for us in Vancouver. So cool. So we're gonna spend a night in Canada and hit the town. Should be some good times. We might try to speak in French the whole time (since it is Canada) and see if we can get by. :)

I've had quite a few people ask me if I'm taking classes next quarter. I realized that I had posted that I might not do Spring quarter but never said anything about my decision, so just to clarify, I decided that I am going to take classes.

Fair Trade? Ask your Aunt Anne, she was in the Battle for Seattle in the WTO (World Trade Organization) a few years ago. FTAA, NAFTA, GATT. She is not shy in sharing her views...
