Another Update

I have been doing a poor job at updating my blog this summer. Sorry Amy. But I always talk to you anyway and I don't think many other people read this so sometimes it seems kind of pointless.

Nonetheless...

Nannying is going wonderfully! I love the kids. I am pretty convinced that nannying is quite possibly the best summer job I could have. I mean, I spend my days going to the park on beautiful days like today, playing tennis, going to the Pacific Science Center, the Musuem of Flight, the Children's Museum, playing in the big fountain at Seattle Center, having super soaker fights, making smoothies, going to the Zoo, going to Barnes and Noble and reading kids books, petting snakes, taking their dog on walks in the forest, etc. Plus I work normal hours and have my weekends free!

This past weekend was quite full. Friday I went to my great uncle's funeral. I didn't really know him. I had never been to an open casket funeral and it was kinda creepy. I don't think I'd ever seen a dead person before. But the weirdest thing to me was that his grandchilren were up there running around by the coffin and leaning on it and staring at him. They didn't seem to mind at all that there was a dead guy lying there. Then, this little girl had made a card that said "I Love You" and she put it on his stomach and was trying to move his hands! She was touching him! My mom just about lost it laughing at the whole situation just because it was so weird. Kids should not play with dead people.

This guy had a lot of interesting stories. I'm not sure which ones I should tell...maybe none here.

Saturday I went to Lisa's wedding. A wedding and a funeral in the same weekend was an interesting combo. I was really tired Saturday because my best friend Christine came over at 6:30 am. We hung out in the morning, then again after the wedding. My 3 best friends ever were all here this weekend so it was SUPER COOL. We got to hang out and have dinner together. Then we went to Golden Gardens to watch a beautiful sunset. Afterwards we went to this really cool cafe in Queen Anne with some of my friends from Young Life Open Door.

Sunday consisted of church at Bethany then going to a Mariners game. It was a beautiful day and the Mariners won 8-2. What more could you ask for? Speaking of the Mariners...guess who I met yesterday. He's pretty cool. I believe he is the only Mariner left from the '95 team. Anyone?

Ha. See, you already know the answer because I talked to you! Blogging is somewhat pointless.
