Excitement on a Friday Night
I left Annie's apartment by SPU tonight at 11:30 so I could go home and get to bed at a decent hour. I have to get up at 7am. Didn't work out so well for me. I got a HUGE piece of metal stuck in my tire about half way home. It was late on a Friday night in Seattle and I was by myself without a cell phone. Didn't really feel like hanging out on a side street trying to change my tire. These girls walked by and saw me examining my really flat tire and said they would get me some help. So about 10 minutes later the good old UW Police show up. Air has been gushing out of my tire this whole time. The Police help me change my tire (and end up breaking the jack in the process). But I made it home safely. Good times.
Other exciting stuff: Annie and I went exploring tonight and ended up at Volunteer Park. It was really awesome. If you haven't been there, you should go! There's this huge water tower that you can climb to the top of and see all of Seattle from. The guard who was closing the tower when we got there (8:30pm) said that the water in that tower supplied 1/5 of Seattle with its water.
While at the park, Annie and I came up with the brilliant idea of going to every park in Seattle over the course of the summer. We will do some research on each park and take pictures while we are there, and then we will make a scrap book of all the parks including info about the park, our opinions about it, and stories of what happened at each one. Sounds like a good summer project to me! :)

ooh exciting.
i look foward to your reviews of all the parks.
Hey, the tire was only flat on one side!
You could have driven for at least another 100 yards till you shredded the thing.
