I was in Dakar, Senegal. Tonight I was reading a journal entry from this day last year and it starts, "So full, hot and tired right now. Euh!" I thought it was funny. Definitely not hot here in October. I was dying there. I slept with no blankets or even sheets and had a fan blowing on me through my mosquito net all night. At about 5am I would get sick of the blowing and the noise and turn it off. Then I'd go back to sleep and wake up two hours later sweaty. Good times in Senegal.

Hi Jamie,
We've been thinking about you and praying for you! How are things going? I haven't heard back from my friend in Lynden about recommendations, but I'll call her in the next couple of days and see if she's found out anything.
We're doing good, Wally's workload is letting up a bit. We've been to Stoney Ridge twice for apple pie with hot caramel sauce...the ONLY thing that makes the end of summer bearable!
What is your new address and phone number, I always forget to ask when you're here!
Luv, Ridgely
oops, you can send phone/address here: rhoyt@bham.wednet.edu
