Ephesus
We just got back from a weekend traveling. We spent some time in cities near the Aegean Sea and during our time there we had tour guide take us to Ephesus, and lots more names of cities that are now ruins. You probably won't know them so I'm not going to bother taking the time to look up how to spell them. Ephesus was my favorite of all the ruins we saw. The Aegean is pretty cool, although I have to say I prefer the Mediterranean. We were in some pretty touristy areas, so it is nice to be back in Denizli, which is not touristy at all.
From all the pictures I post, it looks like we only play. It's true we do get to play, but we also really do work with kids teaching English, and now we are starting to work with college students doing conversation groups to help improve their speaking skills.
Us three in front of the theater in Ephesus. The theater holds 24,000 people. Read Acts to find out some of the things that happened there. Paul lived in this city for about 2 years and the same marble roads are still there. It was cool to think I was walking where he and John walked.
I just had to take a picture of this sign in Ephesus. Too funny. Speaking of public bathrooms...
...check out these ones in Ephesus!
Dad, this picture was taken for you. Although it's hard to see, this is a picture of Medussa... remember how you had me watch that movie when I was really little and I had nightmares about it for years? ;) (The picture was taken in Ephesus).

Hey! Medusa looks a lot like the Starbucks Mermaid, except with a really bad hair day. Glad to hear you traveled all the way to Ephesus to confront your traumatized childhood from seeing "Jason and the Argonauts". :)
Thanks for the photos, I love seeing where you have been. I follow you around on Google Earth, although you are really tiny in their photos!

Interesting website with a lot of resources and detailed explanations.
