Seattle
So tired right now. I have been to Seattle and back way too many times the past couple days. Wednesday I went with some friends and family to visit my pastor and his family in Puyallup. I got to see their new house and their church. It was really good to see them and be able to picture where they are living. I also randomly ran into Sondra's dad at the church. I met him once at UCU. I guess he's a pastor at the same church. Small world. I also stopped at REI to look around for something to buy with the gift card I got for Christmas. Everything there is so dang expensive!
Thursday I moved a bed and desk into my apartment and ran errands in Seattle. Also two of my aunts and my grandpa met my mom and I for lunch in U Village. I came back to Bellingham in the evening and went over to Laura's house, a friend from highschool, and got to see a bunch of girls that I hadn't seen in a long time. It was a mother/daughter party. :) Good times.
Friday night, for New Years, I went over to Amy's house and hung out with good friends that I'm gonna miss while I'm in Seattle. We broke our record for how many people we could fit on the rope swing. Last year we got 9, but this year we managed to get 10 on it! Of course, the rope wasn't swinging, but oh well. The best part is the big pile of bodies at the end...unless of course you are on the bottom and are squished and muddy.
Jackson managed to get his car stuck in a little stream/ditch on the side of the road and it took all the guys to push his car out. That was fun. I stood and held a flashlight.
So I didn't really get to celebrate the new year cause I left at 11pm and went to another Amy's house with Annie and spent the night there. We did this cause we had to get up at 3:30am to drive Jon to the airport. I never really fell asleep though cause I slept in too late that morning...so we got up flippin early, and Annie, Christine, Amy and I went with Jon to SeaTac. He's going to Spain for 6 months to go to language school and learn flamenco guitar. Pretty sweet.
After dropping him off, we went downtown Seattle to catch a ferry to Bainbridge to meet Wayne for breakfast. (All of us do a Bible study together each summer. ) Wayne ended up coming to Seattle instead though cause we would have had to wait another hour and a half for the next ferry. He brought his cousin and we all had breakfast at Minnie's, a restaurant open 24 hours. Then us girls drove back to Bellingham and got there by 10:30. I didn't sleep at all in the car so when I got home I passed out for 4 hours.
Right now I am doing tons of laundry and packing so I can move tomorrow. This time I'm staying in Seattle!
