Yay for shots
Yesterday I got 4 shots. That is a lot. My advice to anyone who has to get that many...don't get them all at once. And don't put the most painful 3 in the same arm, especially not your dominant arm. I spent yesterday afternoon lying on the couch not able to move my arm even an inch because it hurt so bad. I am not joking. The actual shots themselves weren't bad at all, but about an hour later it sucked! Pain shot from my shoulder all the way into my fingers. Eventually I took some ibuprofen, a lot of ibuprofen, and I felt better.
I am having some troubles with some of the medical records that the program that I am going to Africa with needs. It has been very frustrating. I have had to get up at 6am to call the east coast and have talked to way too many doctors in the past couple days. The program isn't communicating very well with me and it is causing many problems. The main problem is that they won't send me my plane ticket until they feel they have the info that they want. This is slightly annoying. I do leave in less than two weeks and it would be helpful to actually have a way to get to Senegal. Hopefully my visa shows up today. That would also be a good thing to have seeing as they won't let me onto the plane with out it. But who needs a visa when you don't have a plane ticket?!
Anyways, I have a lot to do before I leave and it is getting a little stressful. I'm sure everything will work out though. I am house sitting till the 25th which is cool. Their dog sleeps with me at night. He's not a very small dog either. He's cute though. Stupid, but cute.
