Man Cannot Live On Bread Alone

I eat so much bread here it is not even funny.

Today our group of students enjoyed a nice boat ride down the river. We stopped on the side of the river and just had to go through a small patch of trees and we were at the Atlantic Ocean. There was a awesome beach there with tons of funny looking crabs about the size of your fist. I guess they only looked funny to me because we don't have those kinds of crabs in WA. They looked like cartoons. Their eyes stuck up straight out of their bodies and moved around all funny. I found it amusing.

I should say that Amy and I have concluded, after much research, that I do infact have a sheep that lives on my roof, and not a goat. In Saint-Louis, there are literally hundreds of goats that just roam around the streets. I think the baby ones are so cute! But anyways, the animal that lives on my roof in Dakar, does not look like a sheep you would find in the US but also does not look like a goat.

Tomorrow is our last full day in Saint-Louis. I am sad to be leaving because so far, this has been my favorite place. But I am excited to go back to my family in Dakar. I miss them. The little kids, Bebe Fa and Bachir, are the cutest kids. I can't wait to see them again. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying school!!!! I don't feel like I am in real school. It's great.

Crab Sandwiches? Yummmm. If you put them into the communal dinner bowl, it is a little more exciting to reach in for a handful of rice and fish with some snapping crabs running around the bowl.

Also, you should plan to study the surfing habits of Sengalese natives at the Saint-Louis beaches. I think there is probably at least 6 weeks of research to be done!

Remember. Photos are good. Figure out how to get some on your Blog!! That is your mission impossible.
Keep up the great narratives of your adventures!

Wow, sheep on the roof. Don't think I've heard of that before. See if you can bring back a crab for the Bellingham Paxtons to enjoy when you get back :-)
It's great that you're having such a good time in Senegal. I would love to go there sometime, and I can't wait for you to get back.
