Village des Arts

Today was an easy day. Woke up at 7, which is late for me. Usually for some reason I wake up at 4. Then I had breakfast as usual. In the states I don't really eat breakfast cause I don't like it, but here I love it! A baguette with La Vache Qui Rit (cheese) and a cup of tea. It is wonderful. Then I had French class and then Wolof.

Wolof is kind of difficult to learn and it is taking me a while to really catch on, but hopefully I do soon cause I guess the kids and the grandma in my homestay only speak Wolof.

After lunch, we went to the Village des Arts. It is a place where artists live and work in studios. We saw some really cool paintings in many different styles and also some sculptures, sand painting, and pottery. It was really hot. We cooled off underneath a boabab tree.


Of course this isn't the exact one, but it looked kinda like it. :)

Well, I'm off to dinner. All meals, besides breakfast, consist of rice with some sort of meat in some sort of spicy sauce. Then there is the option of either nasty juice or water. I go for the water.
